Sam Kravits, LAPC
If you or your child feels constantly on edge, have big reactions that feel out of proportion, or carry worries that won’t quiet down — you are not alone! Many of the children, young adults, and families I work with come to therapy because they’re:
-
Struggling to navigate big life transitions
-
Dealing with sadness, withdrawal, or low self-worth
-
Trying to make sense of overwhelming memories or nightmares
-
Learning to set and keep healthy boundaries and relationships
We don’t always have the words to explain what’s happening inside. Sometimes it comes out through our behaviors, shutting down, irritability, or play. I provide a warm, culturally humble, and person-centered space where you can feel safe enough to be vulnerable — at your own pace. I believe that healing occurs when individuals feel seen, respected, and empowered, rather than judged or rushed.
How I Address Client Needs
Together, we work to build emotional language, coping skills, and nervous system regulation in ways that are developmentally appropriate and engaging. Therapy can include creativity, movement, play, and practical tools that help you feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions. My goal is not just to reduce symptoms, but to help you reconnect with your resilience, confidence, and sense of safety — while making the process feel approachable and even fun!
