MS, NCC

Hi! Thank you for considering me to be a part of your journey! My name is Susie, and I have experience in helping individuals work through challenges, gain clarity in their lives, and improve their overall physical and mental well-being. My approach in therapy is holistic and integrative in nature, and I believe that exercise and nutrition play a large role in mental health. While my practice is grounded in the person—centered approach, I also integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet the needs of each client. Furthermore, I believe in exploring each person’s family of origin, as early family dynamics can have a profound and lasting influence on mental health, behavior, and relational patterns.

I earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Duquesne University and completed my undergraduate studies at Elon University where I majored in psychology. As a therapist, I have had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan, ranging from young children to older adults presenting with several different mental health diagnoses. I have worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, social skills, and burnout, just to name a few. This diverse experience has provided me with a deep understanding of lifespan development, allowing me to tailor my therapeutic approach to the unique challenges and needs that arise at different stages of life. By recognizing the interplay of developmental stages, life experiences, and individual circumstances, I strive to provide therapy that is empathetic, age-appropriate, and grounded in a deep understanding of human development. This approach allows me to collaborate with my client to foster resilience and personal growth at every stage of life.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to working with you to reach your goals!
