Stressed? Frustrated? Confused? Sad? Anxious? Ready for a change?
All of these feelings are a natural part of life, but when they become overwhelming or interfere with your life, we’re here to help. Together, we can explore and get to the core of what is going on in your life and build meaningful skills to give you the security and confidence to take back your life. I hope to be able to meet you where and when you are ready to take the first step to your journey of self-discovery and a better quality of life. Change and growth may be uncomfortable and unfamiliar, but you CAN choose the direction and perspective you take. I hope to help support you and guide you through this journey.
My education includes a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology (MSCP) from Chatham University and an undergraduate degree in psychology (BS) from University Of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and I am board certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC).
I have learned as much from my professional experiences and clients as my education- primarily working with children, adolescents, and their families and communities in many settings including: community and school based behavioral health program, child and adolescent partial hospitalization program, aiding in care of intellectual and developmental disabilities, adult partial hospitalization and intensive out-patient setting, residential setting for those with intellectual disabilities, and in clinical research and data collection for quality of services.
I utilize a client-centered and trauma informed lense to focus on the goals we discuss and choose to set together. I believe in utilizing an eclectic mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychoeducation, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy(DBT), and Mindfulness, among other modalities that fit your needs. I am trained in Alternative for Families: A Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(AF-CBT). I will be open, honest, and respectful of you and your situation and help you understand and learn how to better your own situation.
Take that first step! Call us today (412.367.0575) to learn more about the therapeutic process, my services, or to schedule an appointment with me. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting with you!
