Insurance

The therapists at our accept most major health insurance plans including: Aetna, Highmark, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UPMC, Cigna, WPEE, and United Behavioral Health. Due to credentialing with the insurance companies, not every therapist can accept every insurance plan. Please call 412.367.0575 for more details.

Our practice does not accept government-assisted insurance plans such as Medicare, Medicaid, or Medical Assistance. If you are unsure if your insurance plan is a government-funded plan, please contact your insurance provider before scheduling an appointment with our office. Failure to do so could result in client responsibility of full-payment of therapy sessions.

In order for us to set realistic treatment goals and priorities, it is important to evaluate what resources you have available to pay for your treatment. If you have a health insurance policy, it will usually provide some coverage for mental health treatment. It is very important that you find out exactly what mental health services your insurance policy covers prior to your first session. To best understand your coverage, we encourage you to contact your insurance company to inquire. Carefully read and understand the section of your insurance coverage that explains mental health services.

We will be happy to assist you with understanding the information you receive from your insurance company; however, the best way to understand your coverage is through your own investigation with your insurance provider.

Self Pay

It is important to remember that you always have the right to pay for services out-of-pocket, should you choose to do so. Our out-of-pocket rates are competitive. For more information on our cash options, please call 412.367.0575.

Payment Methods

We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Payment is expected at the time of service.

Disability Assessments or Disability Paperwork

We do not provide assessments or paperwork for any disability claims.

Cancellation Policy

Your therapist reserves an appointment time that is specifically set for you. We do not double-book therapy appointments. Without adequate notice, your therapist is unable to schedule another client during the time dedicated to you. In fairness to your therapist and other clients, our practice assesses a fee for appointments canceled with less than 24-hours notice and for no-shows. You can read more about this in our cancellation policy, available to you at your first visit.
