When we have a new therapist start with our practice, we want to do what we can to introduce you to him or her so that you have an opportunity to get to know them outside of their general bio. We've asked our newest therapist, Polina Kitsis the following questions about her.

What is heartache? Have you ever experienced it? I’d take a guess that you have, and if you have, you know. It’s not something that you have to wonder whether or not you’ve experienced. It’s powerful. It can knock the breath right out of your chest. It can last days, months, weeks, or even years. When it comes to doing therapy with people, I’d say that this is one of the most common reasons people seek treatment.

Do you have children who are going back to school? If so, you know how difficult it can be to adjust and readjust your family's lives to the new schedule, new people, and new setting(s). But what is the best way to do all of this? Are there really fool-proof ways to avoid the difficult situations that arise? Is there some special technique out there that you have been missing all of these years, as a parent? The answer to that is, "No," but there are some tips, which you may find helpful during this stressful time of year.
